18-Month Long term Fellowship Programs

Long-term fellowship programs in the following ophthalmology subspecialties will begin on 1st July 2026. There is a provision of stipend/honorarium 50000/- in each month for local candidates if they do not receive salary/stipend from their employer and/or any other agency during the training period.

6-Month Short term Fellowship & 3-Month Observership

Subjects to slot availability, short term fellowship and observership programs are available round the year in the following sub-specialties: 

Surgical Training Programs

 Eligibility:

(1) Candidates who have an M.S./F.C.P.S./ DO or any equivalent degree in Ophthalmology recognized by BMDC.
(2) Those who are currently in service should apply through proper channel.
(3) Private practice during all fellowship training programs is strictly prohibited.

Applications for the long term fellowship programs must be submitted using the prescribed form by June 10, 2026. There is no application deadline for short term fellowship/ observership / surgical training programs.
